During the 16th century, Spanish explorers
discovered two awesome civilizations. One of these civilizations was found in Mesoamerica. This area now known as Central
America was controlled by two groups, the Aztecs and the Maya. The other area was controlled by the Inca and it was located
in South America in what is now known as Chile.
